A good necklace can be used with many outfits
Lets talk necklaces. Really talk. According to Wikipedia: The birth of necklaces is believed to be as old as the Stone Age, which is around 40,000 years old. At that time, people used to decorate themselves with mollusk necklaces. Later, necklaces made of stones, bones, shells and animal teeth became popular. After the discovery of metals, gold, silver and a variety of other metals were used to make eye-catching necklaces for both men and women.
While I’m glad we don’t still use bones and mollusk shells to adorn ourselves I can see where they saw it fashionable for the time period. But today a girl really only needs three necklaces.
1. Pearls: Real or fake. They can be worn anywhere from retro parties to funerals. It is the most universal necklace out there. Minus if your going to a giant orgy, pearls are just not appropriate.
2. Everyday Charm necklace. Like the one featured above. It goes with almost anything casual, adds a little spice.
3. Color coordinated necklaces. Even though previously mentioned the number was 3, this section involves 5, ahaha. A girl needs 5 color coordinated necklaces: Red, Green, Blue, Clear, and surprise me. You may ask why clear? But think about it, it goes with anything. Since chunky costume jewelry is in, well lets just go with, alright?

Lets do this! Clear necklace to the rescue.
