Why am I here?
Waiting for you to say those words,
I want to read your mind,
Nervous.
Glad I don’t here them,
Secretly sad I don’t,
Words are powerful,
they start action.

Yep, sitting on the fence between wanting it and terrified of the responsibility (or perhaps the closing of other doors?) that it entails, worried even so that it might not come….

I know what your feeling. years ago back in the early 80′s I believed i had to write a poem every day – or study about writing, something every day for 10 years to become a real writer. I remember siting and thinking ( worrying) about what might happen when I sell a hit record. worring yet, truly expecting a letter to arrive or a car to come up the lane at any minuite. it was real. but nothing ever happened.
